Weight Loss Program

Our weight loss program is centered around you. Once we understand your lifestyle and goals, we know we can help you achieve long term weight loss success.  That's why our program begins with an Initial Consultation & Assessment.    

Initial Consultation & Assessment

You will start by meeting one-on-one with a nutritional counselor and a Board Certified Physician. We will conduct a thorough weight-centered history and physical exam including a blood pressure check, EKG, HT, and Body Composition Analysis. We will assess your current prescriptions to evaluate whether they may be causing unnecessary weight gain. Because your history and physical will be conducted by a physician, we can recommend alternatives to any medications which may be hindering your weight loss.  You can discuss these alternative medications with your own primary care physician. Finally, we help you set your weight loss goals.       

Weight Reduction Phase

Once we gather information about you and set your goals, we will provide you with a customized weight loss plan that takes into account your body composition, lifestyle, weight loss goals and family medical history.

Your customized plan will include a combination of the following weight loss tools: prescription medications for appetite control (when medically appropriate), intermittent fasting, meal replacement, nutritional supplements, and/or nutraceuticals. You will also receive a complementary B-12 injection.

The Weight Reduction Phase can last anywhere from 3 months to longer depending on the amount of weight you want to lose. During the course of the Weight Reduction Phase, you will have weekly visits with our medical weight loss team for a weight check and one-on-one weight loss counselling.  

Transitional Phase

Once you reach your target weight, you will move to the Transitional Phase. During this phase we will teach you how to maintain your target weight and properly feed your body. We will start focusing on your long-term plan that will emphasize eating well balanced meals and introducing exercising for a healthy lifestyle.

We will teach you the how to maintain the proper balance of protein, carbohydrates and fats for your body. This will vary for each patient and will depend on your own body composition, desired weight loss, and level of exercise.    

The length of the Transitional Phase will depend on the amount of weight you have lost.  During this phase, you will meet with a member of our nutritional team every other week for a weight check and one-on-one nutritional counseling.  

Maintenance Phase

After you reach your target weight and complete the Transitional Phase, you will begin the Maintenance Phase of the program. This is the most important part of your weight loss journey and we will continue to partner with you and make adjustments to your lifestyle plan during this phase. This phase is customized to support your long-term success and allow your body to re-set itself at your new weight.  

The length of the Maintenance Phase depends on the amount of weight you have lost. During this phase, you will meet monthly with a member of our nutritional team for a weight check and one-on-one nutritional counselling.
